The University of Tennessee at Martin’s annual Phi Kappa Phi induction ceremony will begin at 6 p.m., April 9, in the Boling University Center’s Watkins Auditorium. Dinner will follow at 6:30 p.m. in the Duncan Ballroom.
Dr. Philip Acree Cavalier, UT Martin provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs, will be this year’s banquet speaker. Inductees can attend the banquet free of charge; additional guest tickets are $20 each and can be purchased from Tenna Bynum in the UT Martin College of Business and Global Affairs at 731-881-7306.
Phi Kappa Phi Chapter 127 was founded at UT Martin in 1971 and honors students, faculty and staff who have reached high levels of academic success. Phi Kappa Phi is the nation’s oldest, largest and most selective collegiate honors society for all academic disciplines. Graduate students and seniors in the top 10 percent of their class and juniors in the top 7.5 percent of their class are invited to join the chapter.
