The University of Tennessee at Martin Vanguard Theatre will present “Marjorie Prime” from Feb. 21-26 in UT Martin’s Vanguard Little Theatre. The cast will perform at 8 p.m., Feb. 21-23, 25 and 26, and at 3 p.m., Feb. 24.
“Marjorie Prime,” written by Jordan Harrison, is a science-fiction drama about an 85-year-old woman’s fading memories and the new companion who relays her life’s account back to her. The play comments on the limits of technology and the mysteries of human identity. “Marjorie Prime” was a 2015 Pulitzer Prize for Drama finalist.
Tickets go on sale Feb. 18 and are $15 for adults and $10 for students. Patrons can reserve tickets by calling 731-881-7400 or by visiting the Department of Visual and Theatre Arts located in room 201 of the Fine Arts Building between 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Tickets will also be available for cash payments only in the theatre lobby beginning one hour before the show. Support the ARTS Program contributors can reserve tickets beginning Feb. 15. The Vanguard Theatre is UT Martin’s resident theatre production company, consisting of both students and community members.
